Nothing replaces a natural tooth as well as the natural tooth. An implant is good engineering and a crown is a good repair, but both are replacements — a tooth kept in the jaw keeps its own ligament, its own bone, and the feedback that tells you how hard you are biting.
Dr. Malik trained as a micro endodontist because that is the specialty whose entire purpose is keeping teeth other people would remove.

Is a root canal painful?
It is done under local anaesthetic, so the treatment itself should not hurt. The pain people remember is usually the infection beforehand — treating the tooth is what relieves it.
If you feel anything during the appointment, say so and we stop and top up the anaesthetic. Nobody is expected to sit through it.
How much will my treatment cost?
You are told the price before treatment starts, not after — including what happens if the tooth turns out to need more than one visit.
The estimate follows an examination rather than a phone call. A number quoted without seeing the tooth is a guess, and guesses are what turn into surprises at the counter.
Do I need to book, or can I come straight in?
Booking gets you a confirmed time and the least waiting. You can request an appointment here or message the clinic on WhatsApp.
Emergencies — severe pain, facial swelling, a knocked-out tooth, a front tooth broken in an accident — are fitted in around booked appointments. If that is you today, call the clinic rather than filling in a form.
I have been told a tooth has to come out. Is a second opinion worth it?
That is exactly the case worth a second look. A badly decayed, cracked or abscessed tooth can often still be saved — it just takes longer and needs more skill than removing it.
Bring the X-ray and the quote you were given. A second opinion costs an appointment, and sometimes it saves the tooth.
How many visits does a root canal take?
A single visit where the tooth allows it. Curved, calcified or badly infected canals can need a second appointment — you are told which it is likely to be before treatment starts.
A back tooth that has had a root canal also needs a crown afterwards to stop it fracturing.
A root canal done elsewhere still hurts. Can that be fixed?
Often, yes. Re-treatment of a failed root canal is routine here — the canal is reopened, cleaned properly and resealed, under the operating microscope.
It is one of the main reasons the clinic is equipped for endodontics rather than referring these cases on.
Do you treat children?
Yes — check-ups, fillings, fluoride and sealants for milk teeth. They matter more than people expect: an infected milk tooth affects the adult tooth forming underneath it.
Someone can stay with your child throughout the appointment.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Any dental X-ray you already have, even an old one — it saves taking another. A list of any medicines you take regularly. And anything another dentist has told you, including the quote.
If the appointment is for a child, bring someone who can stay with them.
